If you are making this for a young child or infant, make sure that you do NOT use buttons for the eyes. Use either safety eyes that won't fall out or embroider them.

This Flappy Bat Critter measures 8.75 inches tall and is made from soft, worsted weight yarn. By using different hook sizes or yarn weights, the end product may have different dimensions. 

This pattern is fairly simple and is done entirely with single crochet. There are plenty of diagrams and photos to help you along the way!
